8 AM Weekday Masses Start June 21
June 3, 2021
Last Friday, I spent three hours with
Fr. Joe Mostardi
, familiarizing him with some of the aspects of our parish. I continue to document information that he will need for a smooth transition.
After a brief discussion with Fr. Joe, one of the things I decided to do in anticipation of his arrival here is to change the time of our later
from 7:30 AM to
. This will begin in just over two weeks from now, Monday, June 21. I know that this will be helpful to some. My apologies to those that this will inconvenience. The time of the earlier, 6:30 Mass will remain unchanged.
I have begun to pack. A person accumulates a lot of stuff in five years. A large part of
is to eliminate the things that are not essential. Next Wednesday, I will make a short trip to the Village of Waterford and Troy, NY, to visit Father David Kelley, the pastor of the two parishes. I will return on Friday. The following week, I will depart on my long-planned annual retreat from June 15 to 23rd.
July 1 is my day of departure
from OMGC - precisely five years from the day I arrived here as your pastor.
to read the Bulletin for this weekend.
Let us continue to pray for each other.
